The Ramp Wall, The Exchange
AN EXHIBITION BY OUR TEAM OF VOLUNTEERS
For this year’s exhibition, our volunteers were invited to explore the theme of identity — the sense of being, or feeling like, a particular kind of person. This might be shaped by personal experience, cultural background, or a search for belonging. It can reflect what makes someone unique, or even explore the absence or loss of identity.
Our volunteers are often the first people to welcome you to the gallery. They generously give their time, their knowledge, their wit, and their warmth. With this exhibition, they also share their creativity and talent – and we’re proud to celebrate their artistic contributions.
All works are for sale.
WHY VOLUNTEER?
Delivering a rewarding volunteer programme is a vital part of what we do at Newlyn Art Gallery & The Exchange. Our team of volunteers bring energy and creativity to the gallery spaces every day, as they help us deliver a busy programme of exhibitions, events and workshops, and present the public face of the gallery.
Volunteers’ enthusiasm and commitment contribute hugely to the culture and ethos of the galleries. If you have time to spare, an interest in contemporary art, and enjoy meeting people, volunteering with us could be for you.
